Brewery
The Steamworks Brewpub in Gastown, Vancouver has been around since 1995. And the brew kettles are still heated with steam pipes from the days of the pioneers. As the variety of beers and quantities steadily grew, we began to use other breweries too for brewing our beer. After 18 years the capacity was simply no longer sufficient to satisfy the increasing demand and do justice to the many new innovative Steamworks beers.
In 2013 the first sod was cut at the site of our brewery in Burnaby with its own filling machine for bottles, cans and casks. Now Steamworks was ready for exporting to the USA and Europe, predominantly Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In the meanwhile we have already installed several new brew kettles and there's still room for one or two more.
And in the neighbouring taproom you can always take the beer diversity home with you, in, for example, a refillable, typical North American growler. It also makes the perfect venue for all kinds of events such as tastings, barbecues, Oktoberfest celebrations or pumpkin carving sessions with typical Pumpkin Ale.
Of course we brew with steam in the new brewery - and in the brewpub.
Sales outlets include all retailers, restaurants and bars across Europe where you can buy and enjoy Steamworks beers. And if you happen to be in Vancouver, don't forget to come and visit us at the Tap Room or the Original Steamworks Brewpub in Gastown, Vancouver. Cheers!
